Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is split asunder, 1 When the planets are dispersed, 2 And when the oceans are swept away. 3 When the graves are overturned, 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 O man, what seduced you from your munificent Lord 6 who created thee and shaped thee and wrought thee in symmetry 7 In whatever form He willed, He put you together. 8 No! But you deny the Recompense. 9 And most surely there are keepers over you 10 Honourablel scribes. 11 Who know what you do. 12 The virtuous ones will live in bliss 13 and the evil-doers will be in hell 14 which they will enter on the Day of Judgment 15 and from which they will find no escape. 16 And what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 17 Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 18 It will be a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to any other human being, God [alone] will hold command on that Day. 19
