The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Woe to every slanderer and backbiter 1 Who amasses wealth and considers it a provision (against mishap); 2 He thinketh that his wealth will render him immortal. 3 No! He will surely be thrown into the Crusher. 4 And what will explain to thee That which Breaks to Pieces? 5 The fire of Allah, that is ablaze. 6 the Fire that shall rise to the hearts (of criminals). 7 Indeed, Hellfire will be closed down upon them 8 In pillars stretched forth. 9
True are the words of God the Almighty.
