And the dwellers of the Rock certainly rejected the apostles; 80 We sent them Our Signs, but they persisted in turning away from them. 81 And they were hewing out houses from mountains feeling secure. 82 the blast overtook them early one morning. 83 And that which they were wont to count as gain availed them not. 84 And We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, except with the Truth; and indeed the Last Day will come, therefore (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), forbear graciously. 85 Surely your Lord is the Creator and knows (everything). 86 AND, INDEED, We have bestowed upon thee seven of the oft repeated [verses,] and [have, thus, laid open before thee] this sublime Qur'an: 87 So covet not things We have bestowed on a portion of them to enjoy, and do not grieve for them, and protect those who believe; 88 and say, "I am, indeed, a plain warner," 89 Such as We send down for those who make division, 90 Who have made the Quran into parts. (i.e. believed in a part and disbelieved in the other). 91 Them, by thy Lord, We shall question, every one, 92 For that which they have been working. 93 Therefore declare openly what you are bidden and turn aside from the polytheists. 94 We suffice thee against the mockers, 95 Who set up along with Allah another god; presently they shall know. 96 And indeed We know that you are disheartened by their speech. 97 So hallow thou the praise of thy Lord, and be thou of the prostrate. 98 And worship your Lord until there comes unto you the certainty (i.e. death). 99
