We saved the Children of Israel from their humiliating torment 30 They (had experienced) under the Pharaoh. He was certainly a tyrant, guilty of excess. 31 and We chose them, out of a knowledge, above all beings, 32 And We vouchsafed unto them signs wherein was a manifest favour. 33 These people say, 34 “This is our first and only death, and we shall never be raised again. 35 Bring back to life our fathers if what you say is true". 36 Are they, then, better than the people of Tubba and those before them, whom We destroyed because they were truly lost in [the same] sin? 37 We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them for Our own amusement. 38 We created them in nothing else except the truth. But most do not know. 39 The Day of Judgement is your promised day of meeting, 40 A Day whereon a friend shall not avail a friend at all, nor shall they be helped. 41 except for those to whom God grants mercy. He is Majestic and All-merciful. 42
