Therefore continue to give warning, for by the grace of your Lord, you are not a soothsayer or a madman. 29 Or say they: (he is) a poet, (one) for whom we may expect the accident of time? 30 Say: 'Await! I shall be awaiting with you.' 31 is it their minds that prompt them [to say] this, or are they merely insolent people? 32 Or do they say, "He fabricated the (Message)"? Nay, they have no faith! 33 Let them produce a discourse like it if they are true in their claim. 34 Did they come into being without any creator? Or were they their own creators? 35 Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Nay! they have no certainty. 36 Do they own the treasures of your Lord, or have they been given charge of them? 37 Or do they have a ladder (climbing which) they can hear (the secrets of heaven)? Let one who has heard then bring a clear proof. 38 Hath He daughters and ye sons? 39 Or do you ask them for a reward, so that they are overburdened by a debt? 40 Or that the Ghaib (unseen) is with them, and they write it down? 41 Or are they planning a conspiracy? So the conspiracy will befall only upon the disbelievers. 42 Do they have another god besides God? God is too exalted to be considered equal to the idols. 43 AND YET, if they [who refuse to see the truth] were to see part of the sky falling down, they would [only] say: "[It is but] a mass of clouds!" 44 So leave them alone till they meet their Day, in which they will sink into a fainting (with horror). 45 the Day when none of their scheming will be of the least avail to them, and they will receive no succour. 46 And there surely awaits the evildoers a chastisement beyond even that, but most of them know it not. 47 So wait patiently for the Judgement of your Lord -- you are certainly under Our watchful eye. And glorify and celebrate the praises of your Lord when you rise up [from your sleep]. 48 and glorify Him after the setting of the stars. 49
