Jinns (Al-Jinn)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Say (O Muhammad SAW): "It has been revealed to me that a group (from three to ten in number) of jinns listened (to this Quran). They said: 'Verily! We have heard a wonderful Recital (this Quran)! 1 Guiding to the right way, so we believe in it, and we will not set up any one with our Lord: 2 'And exalted be the Majesty of our Lord, He has taken neither a wife, nor a son (or offspring or children). 3 And that the foolish amongst us used to forge extravagant things against Allah: 4 And we had thought that mankind and the jinn would never speak about Allah a lie. 5 But some men used to seek refuge with some jinns, and this increased their waywardness; 6 They thought, as you did, that God would never raise up anyone from the dead. 7 'And we pried into the secrets of heaven; but we found it filled with stern guards and flaming fires. 8 'And verily, we used to sit there in stations, to (steal) a hearing, but any who listens now will find a flaming fire watching him in ambush. 9 'And we understand not whether ill is intended to those on earth, or whether their Lord (really) intends to guide them to right conduct. 10 Just as [we do not know how it happens] that some from among us are righteous, while some of us are [far] below that: we have always followed widely divergent paths. 11 And we know that we cannot frustrate Allah in the earth, nor can we frustrate Him by flight. 12 'And as for us, since we have listened to the Guidance, we have accepted it: and any who believes in his Lord has no fear, either of a short (account) or of any injustice. 13 Some of us have come to submission, and some of us are iniquitous.'" Those who have submitted have taken the right course; 14 However, the deviators from the Truth will be the fuel for hell". 15 If they had followed the right path, We would have provided them with abundant rain -- 16 That We may test them thereby, and whoso turneth away from the remembrance of his Lord; He will thrust him into ever-growing torment. 17 And the mosques are for Allah (Alone), so invoke not anyone along with Allah. 18 When the worshiper of Allah stood supplicating to Him, they swarmed around him (Prophet Muhammad). 19
