The Sun (Al-Shams)
15 verses, revealed in Mecca after Destiny (Al-Qadr) before The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the sun and its rising brightness 1 by the moon, which follows it, 2 And the day when it shows it, 3 by the night when it covers the earth with darkness, 4 And the heaven and Him Who made it, 5 And the earth and Him Who extended it, 6 by the soul and how He formed it, 7 And inspired it with the wickedness thereof and the piety thereof, 8 He who purifies it will prosper, 9 and he who suppresses it will be ruined. 10 TO [THIS] TRUTH gave the lie, in their overweening arrogance, [the tribe of] Thamud, 11 When the most wicked among them stood up in defiance. 12 So Allah's apostle said to them (Leave alone) Allah's she-camel, and (give) her (to) drink. 13 Then they belied him and they hamstrung her; wherefore their Lord overwhelmed them for their crime, and made it equal. 14 He does not fear the result (of their destruction). 15
God the Almighty always says the truth.

ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
