They will question thee concerning the Spirit. Say: 'The Spirit is of the bidding of my Lord. You have been given of knowledge nothing except a little.' 85 And if We listed, We could surely take away that which We have revealed unto thee; then thou wilt not find in respect thereof against Us as trustee. 86 Except for Mercy from thy Lord: for his bounty is to thee (indeed) great. 87 Say: "If the whole of mankind and Jinns were to gather together to produce the like of this Qur'an, they could not produce the like thereof, even if they backed up each other with help and support. 88 We have given examples of every kind to men in this Qur'an in various ways, and even then most men disdain everything but unbelief, 89 They say: 'We will not believe in you until you make a spring gush from the earth for us, 90 or you (show) us that you have your own garden of palm trees and vines with flowing streams therein, 91 Or you should cause the heaven to come down upon us in pieces as you think, or bring Allah and the angels face to face (with us). 92 or till thou possessest a house of gold ornament, or till thou goest up into heaven; and we will not believe thy going up till thou bringest down on us a book that we may read. Say: 'Glory be to my Lord. Am I aught but a mortal, a Messenger?' 93
