Hizb 46
< random >
Verily Jonah is one of the apostles. 139 [Mention] when he ran away to the laden ship. 140 And then they cast lots and he was the one who lost, 141 and the fish swallowed him while he was blaming himself. 142 And had he not been one of those who glorify (Allah) 143 He would have remained in its belly till the day when all will be raised. 144 ۞ But We threw him on a wide bare tract of land while he was ill; 145 and We caused to grow over him a tree of gourds. 146 and We sent him forth to a nation of a hundred thousand or more, 147 and they believed in him: so We let them live in ease for a while. 148 AND NOW ask them to enlighten thee: Has thy Sustainer daughters, whereas they would have [only] sons? 149 Or created We the angels females while they were present? 150 Lo! it is of their falsehood that they say: 151 Allah has begotten; and most surely they are liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters over sons? 153 “What is the matter with you? What sort of a judgement you impose!” 154 Will you then not take heed? 155 Or have ye an authority manifest? 156 Then produce your scripture, if you should be truthful. 157 They have set up a kinship between Him and the jinn; and the jinn know that they shall be arraigned. 158 God is far above what they attribute to Him, 159 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 160 So neither you nor those you worship 161 can lure away from God any 162 unless it be such as rushes towards the blazing fire [of his own accord]! 163 As for us, there is none but has an appointed station. 164 “And indeed we, with our wings spread, await the command.” 165 and we glorify God". 166 And indeed the disbelievers used to say, 167 "If we had had with us a Book like that of the people of old, 168 We would have been the chosen servants of Allah." 169 They therefore denied it, so they will soon come to know. 170 And surely Our word has gone forth respecting Our servants, the messengers: 171 That they would certainly be assisted, 172 and that Our army will be triumphant. 173 So, [O Muhammad], leave them for a time. 174 and see, and soon they too shall see. 175 Do they seek to hasten Our chastisement? 176 But when it descends into the open space before them, evil will be the morning for those who were warned (and heeded not)! 177 Leave them alone for a while, 178 and see; soon they shall see! 179 Your Lord, the Lord of Honor, is too exalted to be considered as they describe Him. 180 Peace be with the Messengers (of God). 181 And all praise is to Allah, the Lord Of The Creation. 182
Almighty God's Truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
