Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the dipersing winds that disperse. 1 and those that carry the burden [of heavy clouds,] 2 Then those (ships) that glide easily, 3 and the partitioners, 4 What you are promised is certainly true: 5 the Judgement will surely come to pass -- 6 By the heaven containing pathways, 7 your ideas are confused. 8 though only those who are averse to the Truth will turn away from (believing in it). 9 Perish the conjecturers 10 Those who are in heedlessness neglectful. 11 They ask: when is the Day of Requital coming? 12 It will be on the day when they will be roasted in the fire. 13 "Taste you your trial (burning)! This is what you used to ask to be hastened!" 14 Surely those who guard (against evil) shall be in gardens and fountains. 15 Accepting what their Lord has given them. Indeed, they were before that doers of good. 16 they used to sleep but little by night, 17 and in the mornings they would ask for forgiveness; 18 and sharing their possessions with the beggars and the deprived. 19 In the earth there is evidence (of the Truth) for those who have strong faith. 20 there are signs for firm believers. Do you not see then? 21 There is in the heavens your sustenance, and whatever has been promised you. 22 So by oath of the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this Qur’an is the Truth, in the same language that you speak. 23
