Indeed this is a revelation from the Lord of the Universe; 192 brought down by the Faithful Spirit 193 to your heart that you might become one of those who warn (others on behalf of Allah), 194 In plain Arabic language. 195 Truly, it is in the Books of the ancients. 196 Is it not a sign unto them that the learned among the Children of Isra'il know it? 197 If We had revealed it to a nonArab, 198 So that he should have recited it to them, they would not have believed therein. 199 In this wise have We made way for it into the hearts of the culprits. 200 They will not believe in it to the extent that they see the painful punishment. 201 that will come upon them [on resurrection,] all of a sudden, without their being aware [of its approach]; 202 and they will say, 'Shall we be respited?' 203 Do they want to hasten Our punishment? 204 Do you not see that even if We give them respite for years 205 And then what they were promised comes upon them, 206 So of what benefit will be the comforts that they were using? 207 We never destroyed a village that did not have warners 208 to admonish them. We have never been unjust. 209 And the Shaitans have not come down with it. 210 they are not supposed to do so. Nor do have they the ability for such a task. 211 Truly, they are expelled from hearing. 212 So do not invoke with Allah another deity and [thus] be among the punished. 213 And warn [whomever thou canst reach, beginning with] thy kinsfolk, 214 and be kind to your believing followers. 215 then, if they disobey thee, say, 'I am quit of that you do.' 216 And rely upon the Exalted in Might, the Merciful, 217 Who seeth thee when thou standest up 218 and [sees] thy behaviour among those who prostrate themselves [before Him]: 219 for, verily, He alone is all-hearing, all-knowing! 220 Shall I inform you, (O people!), on whom it is that the evil ones descend? 221 They come down to every mendacious sinner, 222 Who gives ear (to the devils and they pour what they may have heard of the unseen from the angels), and most of them are liars. 223 As for the poets, only those who go astray follow them. 224 Do you not see that in every valley they roam 225 And they say what they do not do, 226 Except those who believe, work righteousness, engage much in the remembrance of Allah, and defend themselves only after they are unjustly attacked. And soon will the unjust assailants know what vicissitudes their affairs will take! 227
Almighty Allah's Truth.
