And indeed, We delivered the children of Israel from the shameful suffering 30 and from the Pharaoh. He was the chief of the transgressors. 31 We knowingly exalted them (i.e., the Children of Israel) above other peoples of the world 32 And granted them Signs in which there was a manifest trial 33 Lo! these, forsooth, are saying: 34 There is naught but our first death, and we shall not be raised again. 35 “Therefore bring back our forefathers, if you are truthful!” 36 Are they, then, better than the people of Tubba and those before them, whom We destroyed because they were truly lost in [the same] sin? 37 And We did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them in sport. 38 We have created them for a genuine purpose, but most people do not know. 39 Verily the Day of Distinction is the term appointed for all of them. 40 The Day when Maulan (a near relative) cannot avail Maulan (a near relative) in aught, and no help can they receive, 41 save those upon whom God will have bestowed His grace and mercy: for, verily, He alone is almighty, a dispenser of grace. 42
