The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
When the sun is overthrown, 1 when the stars shall scatter away, 2 When the mountains vanish (like a mirage); 3 when the ten-months pregnant camels shall be abandoned, 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together; 5 the oceans are brought to a boil, 6 when the souls shall be coupled, 7 And the little girl buried alive is asked 8 such as, "For what crime were they murdered?" 9 And when the pages are made public 10 And when the heaven shall be stripped off and taken away from its place; 11 hell is made to blaze, 12 And when Paradise is brought near. 13 then shall each person know what he has brought along. 14 BUT NAY! I call to witness the revolving stars, 15 Those that run [their courses] and disappear - 16 and the night that falls, 17 and brightening morning, 18 Verily this is the word of a most honourable Messenger, 19 The processor of strength, having an honorable place with the Lord of the Dominion, 20 One (to be) obeyed, and faithful in trust. 21 And your companion is not [at all] mad. 22 he truly beheld him [the angel] on the clear horizon. 23 And this Prophet is not miserly upon the hidden. (Allah gave the knowledge of the hidden to the Holy Prophet peace and blessings be upon him.) 24 And the Qur'an is not the word of a devil, expelled [from the heavens]. 25 Whither then will you go? 26 That is but an advice to the entire creation! 27 For the one among you who wishes to become upright. 28 but you shall not, unless Allah wills, the Lord of all the Worlds. 29
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
