The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Glorify the name of thy Guardian-Lord Most High, 1 Who creates and proportions, 2 And Who has measured (preordainments for each and everything even to be blessed or wretched); then guided (i.e. showed mankind the right as well as wrong paths, and guided the animals to pasture); 3 And Who bringeth out the (green and luscious) pasture, 4 Then made it dry and dark. 5 We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget 6 Except what Allah should will. Indeed, He knows what is declared and what is hidden. 7 We shall ease you to the easy. 8 Therefore remind (men) in case the reminder profits (them). 9 He will heed who feareth, 10 but the wretched will turn away from it. 11 Who shall enter the great fire; 12 In which they will then neither die nor live. 13 Indeed whosoever purifies himself (by avoiding polytheism and accepting Islamic Monotheism) shall achieve success, 14 And who mentioned the name of his Lord, then offered prayer. 15 But nay, [O men,] you prefer the life of this world, 16 although the life to come is better and more enduring. 17 This is what is written in the ancient heavenly Books, 18 the revelations of Abraham and Moses. 19
