The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
When the sun is folded up, 1 And when the stars fall, 2 and when the mountains are made to vanish, 3 And when the she-camels big with young shall be abandoned, 4 And when wild animals are herded together. 5 When the oceans boil over with a swell; 6 when the souls shall be rejoined (with their bodies), 7 questions are asked about the baby girls buried alive, 8 for what crime she was slain, 9 the records of deeds are made public, 10 When the world on High is unveiled; 11 And when Hellfire is set ablaze 12 when Paradise is brought near, 13 then, each soul shall know what it has produced. 14 So, I call the receding stars to witness, 15 Who move straight and stop. 16 by the night swarming, 17 and the morn as it softly breathes: 18 Verily this is the word of a most honourable Messenger, 19 who is honored in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 The one who is obeyed, and trustworthy. (Other angels obey angel Jibreel). 21 Your companion is not mad. 22 in truth he saw him (Gabriel) on the clear horizon, 23 He (Muhammad) is not accused of lying about the unseen. 24 And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan). 25 where then are you going? 26 Verily this is no less than a Message to (all) the Worlds: 27 for everyone of you who wishes to follow the Straight Way; 28 But ye shall not will except as Allah wills,- the Cherisher of the Worlds. 29
