[AND] the people of Lot gave the lie to [one of God's] message-bearers 160 When their brother Lout (Lot) said to them: "Will you not fear Allah and obey Him? 161 I am for you a faithful Messenger, 162 So fear Allah, and obey me. 163 "And no reward whatever do I ask of you for it: my reward rests with none but the Sustainer of all the worlds. 164 Go ye in, of all creatures, unto the males? 165 and leave your wives whom your Lord has created for you? No, but you are a transgressing nation' 166 They said, “O Lut, if you do not desist, you will be expelled.” 167 He said, “I am disgusted with your works.” 168 "O my Lord! deliver me and my family from such things as they do!" 169 So We saved him and his whole family 170 save an old woman among those that tarried; 171 We destroyed the others 172 And We rained on them a rain. And dreadful is the rain of those who have been warned. 173 Surely in this there is a sign: but most of them would not believe: 174 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 175
