S (Saad)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Sad. By the Koran, containing the Remembrance -- 1 In fact, the disbelievers are in false pride and opposition. 2 How many generations have We destroyed before them who cried (for mercy) when it was too late for escape. 3 They are surprised that a warner should come to them from among themselves. They say, "This is a magician, a great liar. 4 What, has he made the gods One God? This is indeed a wondrous thing' 5 Their leaders departed, saying, "Walk away! Hold fast to your deities. This is clearly a conspiracy. 6 We have not heard of this in the latest religion. This is not but a fabrication. 7 Was the message sent only to him out of all of us?" In fact, they doubt My warning; in fact, they have not yet tasted My punishment. 8 Or is it that they have the treasures of the mercy of your Lord, the Mighty, the great Giver? 9 Or, is theirs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and that which is in-between the twain? If so, let them ascend by steps. 10 Here there is a host of the confederates only to be defeated. 11 The people of Noah, Ad and the dominating Pharaoh had rejected Our revelations. 12 And the Thamud, and the people of Lut, and the dwellers of the wood; these were the confederates. 13 Of all these there was not one who did not deny the messengers. So My retribution was justified. 14
