The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the sky with its constellations, 1 And by the Promised Day. 2 by the witness and the witnessed, 3 Cursed were the people of the ditch (the story of the Boy and the King). 4 the makers of the fuel-stoked fire! 5 When they sat by it, 6 Witnessing what they had done to the believers! 7 They had no other reason for hating them except that they believed in God the mighty, worthy of praise, 8 God to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and God is Witness over everything. 9 Lo! they who persecute believing men and believing women and repent not, theirs verily will be the doom of hell, and theirs the doom of burning. 10 Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great attainment. 11 VERILY, thy Sustainer's grip is exceedingly strong! 12 Lo! He it is Who produceth, then reproduceth, 13 He is the All-forgiving, the Most Loving One, 14 – the Lord of the Glorious Throne, 15 Who does as He pleases. 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 Of Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and Thamud? 18 And yet the Unbelievers (persist) in rejecting (the Truth)! 19 and God is behind them, encompassing. 20 Nay; but this is a glorious Qur'an, 21 (Preserved) on the guarded tablet. 22
