Have you considered he who turns his back, 33 Gives a little, then hardens (his heart)? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the Unseen, and therefore he sees? 35 Or hath he not had news of what is in the books of Moses 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his trust? -- 37 Certainly no one will bear the responsibility of the sins of another, 38 and that a man shall have to his account only as he has laboured, 39 And that his striving shall soon be seen- 40 and in the end he will be repaid for it in full; 41 And that to your Lord (Allah) is the End (Return of everything). 42 That it is He Who granteth Laughter and Tears; 43 and that it is He who makes to die, and that makes to live, 44 And that He created pairs, the male and the female 45 From a sperm-drop when it is emitted 46 And that on Him is the bringing forth a second time; 47 It is He who grants people temporary and durable wealth. 48 It is He who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 It is He who utterly destroyed the ancient tribes of Ad, 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace of them, 51 and that He it is Who destroyed the people of Noah before for they were much given to iniquity and transgression. 52 He plunged the villages 53 and caused them to be covered with that which He covered them with. 54 So O listener! Which favour of your Lord will you doubt? 55 He (Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) is a Herald of Warning, like the former Heralds of Warning. 56 The Imminent is imminent; 57 none except Allah can disclose it. 58 Marvel ye then at this statement, 59 And keep laughing and do not weep, 60 indulging in carelessly idle games? 61 Bow instead in adoration before God and worship Him. ۩ 62
