The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heaven and the Morning Star 1 How will you comprehend what the night star is? 2 The piercing star! 3 [for] no human being has ever been left unguarded. 4 Let the human reflect of what he is created. 5 He was created from ejaculated water 6 That is issued from between the backs and the ribs. 7 Surely He (the Creator) has the power to bring him back (to life). 8 On the day when all secrets will be made public, 9 and [man] will have neither strength nor helper! 10 By heaven of the returning rain, 11 and the replenishing earth, 12 Most surely it is a decisive word, 13 It is no pleasantry. 14 Surely they will make a scheme, 15 And I (too) am planning a plan. 16 So give a respite to the disbelievers. Deal thou gently with them for a while. 17
God the Almighty always says the truth.
