Or, do those who have a disease in their hearts think that Allah will not reveal their hatred? 29 Did We will, We would show them to thee, then thou wouldst know them by their mark; and thou shalt certainly know them in the twisting of their speech; and God knows your deeds. 30 Most certainly We will try you until We have discovered those among you who strive their hardest, and those who are steadfast, and will test your record. 31 Verily those who have disbelieved and have hindered others from the way of Allah and have opposed the apostle after the guidance had become manifest unto them, shall not hurt Allah at all, and anon He shall render their works of non effect. 32 O you who believe! obey Allah and obey the Apostle, and do not make your deeds of no effect. 33 ۞ Those who reject Allah, and hinder (men) from the Path of Allah, then die rejecting Allah,- Allah will not forgive them. 34 So do not become weak-kneed and sue for peace, for you will have the upper hand as God is with you and will not overlook your deeds. 35 Verily the life of this world is no more than a sport and frivolity. If you believe and fear God, he will give you your reward, and will not ask for your possessions. 36 If He asked you for them, and presses you, you would be mean and He would expose your anger. 37 Behold, you are those who are called upon to spend in Allah's Way, but some of you are niggardly. Whoever is niggardly is in fact niggardly to himself. For Allah is All-Sufficient, whereas it is you who are in need of Him. If you turn away, He will replace you by a people other than you, and they will not be like you. 38
