He created man and surely know what misdoubts arise in their hearts; for We are closer to him than his jugular vein. 16 When the two receivers receive, sitting on the right and on the left. 17 not even a word can he utter but there is a watcher with him, ever-present. 18 The palsy of death will surely come. This is what you wished to avert. 19 And the Trumpet shall be blown; that is the Day of the Threat. 20 And every person will come forth along with an (angel) to drive (him), and an (angel) to bear witness. 21 (And the driver will say:) "You were oblivious of this, so we have removed the veil, and how keen is your sight today!" 22 His companion attendant will say, "I have here his record ready." 23 "Cast each stubborn unbeliever into Hell," (they will be told), 24 forbidder of good, transgressor and doubter, 25 Who made [as equal] with Allah another deity; then throw him into the severe punishment." 26 ۞ His companion said: “I did not incite him to rebel; he was far gone into error of his own accord.” 27 He will say: Do not quarrel in My presence, and indeed I gave you the threatening beforehand: 28 “With Me, the decree does not change, and nor do I oppress the bondmen.” 29
