Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ No! I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 Nay, I swear by the accusing soul (that this Scripture is true). 2 Deemest man that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 Indeed, We have the power to restore his very finger tips! 4 Rather, the human desires to continue in his immorality, 5 He questions: "When is the Day of Resurrection?" 6 So when the eyes will be blinded by light. 7 And the moon is buried in darkness. 8 when the sun and moon are gathered together 9 On that Day man will say: "Where (is the refuge) to flee?" 10 No! There is no refuge! 11 To your Lord, that Day, is the [place of] permanence. 12 Man will be informed that Day of what he sent ahead and kept back. 13 In fact man is a witness against himself, 14 in spite of all the excuses he may offer. 15 (O Prophet), do not stir your tongue hastily (to commit the Revelation to memory). 16 Surely it is for Us to have you commit it to memory and to recite it. 17 And when We read it, follow thou the reading; 18 It's explanation is upon Us. 19 Not [as you think, that you (mankind) will not be resurrected and recompensed for your deeds], but (you men) love the present life of this world, 20 And neglect the Hereafter. 21 That day will faces be resplendent, 22 Looking toward their Lord. 23 And (other) faces on that day shall be gloomy, 24 dreading some great affliction. 25 By no means! When it cometh up to the collar-bone. 26 And it will be said: "Who can cure him and save him from death?" 27 And he will conclude that it was (the Time) of Parting; 28 And affliction is combined with affliction; 29 at that time towards thy Sustainer does he feel impelled to turn! 30
