Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

By the midmorning, 1 By the night when it darkeneth, 2 Your Lord has neither left you, nor despises you. 3 And the Hereafter is better for you than the first [life]. 4 And indeed, in time will thy Sustainer grant thee [what thy heart desires,] and thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? 6 Did He not find you wandering about and give you guidance? 7 And found you in need, so made you prosperous? 8 Do not oppress the orphans 9 and as for the beggar, scold him not; 10 But tell of the favors of your Lord! 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
