The people of Lot rejected the Messengers, branding them liars. 160 When their brother Lut said to them: Will you not guard (against evil)? 161 I am for you a faithful Messenger, 162 So fear Allah and obey me. 163 I ask of you no recompense for this; my reward is only with the Lord of the Universe. 164 What! Of all creatures do ye come unto the males, 165 "And leave those whom Allah has created for you to be your wives? Nay, you are a trespassing people!" 166 They said: "O Lot! If you do not desist, you will be one of those expelled (from our towns)." 167 He said: I am in truth of those who hate your conduct. 168 Lord, save me and my family from their deeds." 169 So We delivered him and his household all. 170 Except one old woman who remained behind. 171 then We totally destroyed the rest, 172 And rained on them a shower (of Stones). How terrible was the rain (that fell) on those who had been warned! 173 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 174 And lo! thy Lord, He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 175
