Hizb 46
< random >
So also was Jonah among those sent (by Us). 139 He abandoned his people 140 And lots were cast (when a storm overtook them), he was rejected, (and thrown overboard). 141 Then the big Fish did swallow him, and he had done acts worthy of blame. 142 And had he not been one of those who glorify (Allah) 143 He would certainly have remained inside the Fish till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ We then put him ashore on a plain, and he was sick. 145 And We caused a tree of gourd to grow above him; 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand (folk) or more 147 And they believed; so We gave them enjoyment for a while. 148 So inquire of them, [O Muhammad], "Does your Lord have daughters while they have sons? 149 Or did We create the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Lo! verily it is of their falsehood that they say: 151 "Allah has begotten children"? but they are liars! 152 Has He chosen daughters over sons? 153 What is the matter with you, how is it that you judge? 154 Will you not then reflect? 155 Or have you clear evidence? 156 Then bring your Book if you are truthful! 157 They assert kinship between Him and the angels. But the angels know that they (the liars) will be arraigned (in Hell). 158 Exaltations to Allah above what they describe, 159 Not (so do) the Servants of Allah, sincere and devoted. 160 So you and your deities 161 you shall not tempt any against Him 162 except him who shall roast in Hell. 163 There is not one of us but hath his known position. 164 We are surely those who are arranged in ranks. 165 And indeed, we are those who exalt Allah." 166 AND, INDEED, they [who deny the truth] have always been wont to say, 167 "If we had a reminder as had the men of old (before the coming of Prophet Muhammad SAW as a Messenger of Allah). 168 We would certainly have been the servants of Allah-- the purified ones. 169 But (now that the Quran has come) they disbelieve therein (i.e. in the Quran and in Prophet Muhammad SAW, and all that which he brought, the Divine Revelation), so they will come to know! 170 Already Our Word has preceded to Our servants, the Envoys; 171 That undoubtedly, only they will be helped. 172 And verily Our host! they are to be overcome. 173 So you ignore them for a time 174 and see, and soon they too shall see. 175 Do they wish (indeed) to hurry on our Punishment? 176 Then, when it descends into their courtyard (i.e. near to them), evil will be the morning for those who had been warned! 177 Hence, turn thou aside for a while from them, 178 And wait, for they will soon see. 179 Glorified be your Lord, the Lord of Honour and Power! (He is free) from what they attribute unto Him! 180 And peace be upon the Envoys; 181 And praise belongs to Allah, Lord of the Worlds. 182
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
