The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the heaven with its impregnable castles; 1 By the promised Day (of Judgment); 2 By one that witnesses, and the subject of the witness;- 3 Cursed were the companions of the trench 4 Full of fire fed by faggots, 5 When they sat by it (fire), 6 Witnessing what they had done to the believers! 7 whom they hated for no other reason than that they believed in God, the Almighty, the Praiseworthy, 8 To Him only belongs the kingship of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness over all things. 9 Verily those who affected the believing men and the believing women, and then repented not, theirs shall be the torment of Hell, and theirs shall be the torment of burning. 10 Those who believe, and do righteous deeds, for them await gardens underneath which rivers flow; that is the great triumph. 11 The grip of your Lord is indeed severe, 12 It is He who originates and repeats. 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 the Owner of the Throne, the Glorious One, 15 He does what He intends (or wills). 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 (The armies of) Firaun and the tribe of Thamud. 18 And yet, they who are bent on denying the truth persist in giving it the lie: 19 God encompasses them from all sides. 20 This is indeed the glorious Qur'an 21 (Preserved) on the guarded tablet. 22
