Al-Duhaa
The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the bright forenoon, 1 And the night when it covers with darkness. 2 Your Lord has neither left you, nor despises you. 3 and the Last shall be better for thee than the First. 4 And indeed your Lord will soon give you so much that you will be pleased. (Allah seeks to please the Holy Prophet – peace and blessings be upon him.) 5 Did He not find thee an orphan, and shelter thee? 6 And find you lost (that is, unrecognized by men) and guide (them to you)? 7 And He found you poor and made [you] self-sufficient. 8 So do not oppress the orphan, 9 And do not drive the beggar away, 10 And abundantly proclaim the favours of your Lord. 11
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
