O Prophet! Command your wives and your daughters and the women of the Muslims to cover their faces with a part of their cloaks; this is closer to their being recognised and not being harassed; and Allah is Oft Forgiving, Most Merciful. (It is incumbent upon women to cover themselves properly.) 59 ۞ If the hypocrites and those in whose hearts there is a sickness, and the scandal mongers in Madinah do not desist from their vile acts, We shall urge you to take action against them, and then they will hardly be able to stay in the city with you. 60 Cursed: wherever they are found they shall be seized and murdered, a (horrible) murdering. 61 (Such was) the practice (approved) of Allah among those who lived aforetime: No change wilt thou find in the practice (approved) of Allah. 62 PEOPLE will ask thee about the Last Hour. Say: "Knowledge thereof rests with God alone; yet for all thou knowest, the Last Hour may well be near!" 63 Verily, Allah has cursed the disbelievers, and has prepared for them a flaming Fire (Hell). 64 Abiders therein they shall be forever, and they shall find neither a protecting friend nor a helper. 65 On the Day when their faces are turned over in the Fire, they shall say: "Oh, would that we had obeyed God, and obeyed the Messenger!" 66 And they shall say: O our Lord! surely we obeyed our leaders and our great men, so they led us astray from the path; 67 "Our Lord! Give them double Penalty and curse them with a very great Curse!" 68
