Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the winds that scatter the dust, 1 Then those clouds bearing the load (of minute things in space). 2 Then by oath of those which move with ease. 3 And those (angels) who distribute (provisions, rain, and other blessings) by (Allah's) Command; 4 What you are threatened with is most surely true, 5 and, verily, judgment is bound to come! 6 By the Sky with (its) numerous Paths, 7 Verily ye are in a divided opinion. 8 though only those who are averse to the Truth will turn away from (believing in it). 9 Accursed be the conjecturers 10 Who are lost in deception. 11 They ask: "When is the Day of Judgement?" -- 12 The day they will be burnt in the Fire, 13 (and be told): “Taste your ordeal! This is what you were seeking to hasten.” 14 The righteous shall live among gardens and fountains, 15 Receiving what is given them by their Lord. They were surely the virtuous before this. 16 They used to sleep but little in the night. 17 and in the mornings they would ask for forgiveness; 18 and the beggar and the outcast had a share in their wealth. 19 And in the earth are signs for those who are certain. 20 And in yourselves. Then will you not see? 21 In heaven is your sustenance, and also that which you are promised. 22 And by the Lord of the heavens and the earth, it is the truth, even as (it is true) that ye speak. 23
