The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

The terrible calamity! 1 What is the startling calamity? 2 How will you comprehend what the startling calamity is? -- 3 [It is] a Day when mankind shall be like scattered moths 4 and the mount-ains like tufts of carded wool. 5 So for one whose scales prove heavy, 6 shall inherit a pleasing life, 7 but he whose deeds weigh light in the Balance 8 Will have the Abyss for abode. 9 How will you comprehend what that is? 10 A burning fire. 11
