The Poets (Alshu'araa')
227 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah) before The Ant (Al-Naml)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta-Seen-Meem. (Alphabets of the Arabic language Allah, and to whomever he reveals, know their precise meanings.) 1 These are the verses of the Book that makes (things) clear. 2 Belike thou shalt kill thyself with grief because they become not believers. 3 If We will, We shall send down on them out of heaven a sign, so their necks will stay humbled to it. 4 And there does not come to them a new reminder from the Beneficent Allah but they turn aside from it. 5 they have indeed rejected the message. But the truth of what they laughed to scorn will dawn upon them before long. 6 Have they not seen the earth in which We have made gracious plants grow? 7 Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 8 truly, your Lord is the Mighty One, the Merciful. 9
