And indeed this Qur’an has been sent down by the Lord Of The Creation. 192 the Faithful Spirit has brought it down 193 upon thy heart, [O Muhammad] so that thou mayest be among those who preach 194 In plain Arabic language. 195 And verily, it (the Quran, and its revelation to Prophet Muhammad SAW) is (announced) in the Scriptures [i.e. the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] of former people. 196 Was it not a sign for them, that it is known to the learned of the Children of Israel? 197 Had We revealed it to a man of obscure tongue 198 So that he should have recited it to them, they would not have believed therein. 199 Thus do We make it traverse the hearts of the guilty. 200 They will not believe in it until they see the grievous Penalty; 201 And it shall come to them all of a sudden, while they shall not perceive; 202 and they will say, 'Shall we be respited?' 203 So do they wish to hasten Our punishment? 204 Tell Me, if We do let them enjoy for years, 205 And afterwards comes to them that (punishment) which they had been promised! 206 What shall that which they enjoyed avail them? 207 Never did We destroy a population, but had its warners - 208 as a reminder from Us: We are never unjust. 209 And the satans have not brought it down. 210 nor does it behove them, nor does it lie in their power. 211 Indeed they, from [its] hearing, are removed. 212 So call not upon another god with Allah, lest you be of those who are punished. 213 And warn, [O Muhammad], your closest kindred. 214 And be kind to him who follows you of the believers. 215 So if they do not obey you, then say, “Indeed I am unconcerned with what you do.” 216 and place thy trust in the Almighty, the Dispenser of Grace, 217 Who sees you (O Muhammad SAW) when you stand up (alone at night for Tahajjud prayers). 218 And watches your movements among those who prostrate in prayer. 219 Lo! He, only He, is the Hearer, the Knower. 220 Shall I inform you upon whom the devils descend? 221 They descend on every lying, wicked person, 222 They incline their ears, and most of them are liars. 223 And as to the poets, those who go astray follow them. 224 Seest thou not that they wander distracted in every valley?- 225 and they say what they do not do? 226 except those who believed and acted righteously and remembered Allah much, and when they themselves were subjected to wrong, they exacted retribution no more than to the extent of the wrong? Soon will the wrong-doers know the end that they shall reach. 227
