Al-Muddath-thir 2 of 2
No! By the moon 32 And [by] the night when it departs 33 The morning when it is unveiled, 34 hell is certainly the greatest calamity. 35 A warning unto humankind 36 Whoever of you desires to progress or lag behind. 37 Every soul is mortgaged for its own deeds. 38 except the Companions of the Right. 39 who shall be in the Gardens, and shall ask 40 of those who were lost in sin: 41 "What led you into Hell Fire?" 42 They will reply, "We did not pray, 43 “Nor used to feed the needy.” 44 “And used to dwell on evil matters with those who think evilly.” 45 “And used to deny the Day of Justice.” 46 Till death overtook us. 47 Then will no intercession of (any) intercessors profit them. 48 What is the matter with them that they turn away from this Reminder, 49 As though they were frightened asses 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 Nay, but everyone of them desireth that he should be given open pages (from Allah). 52 No! But they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 but this is truly a reminder. 54 Let him then who heeds remember it. 55 But they will not benefit from it unless Allah Himself so wills. He is worthy to be feared; and He is worthy to forgive (those that fear Him). 56
