Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit), 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 for an appointed time? 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 And have placed therein firm and tall mountains and given you to drink of water fresh 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
