Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is split asunder, 1 when the planets are scattered, 2 when the oceans are gushed forth, 3 When the graves are overturned, 4 A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back. 5 O man! What has made you careless concerning your Lord, the Most Generous? 6 Who created you proportionately and fashioned you 7 in whatever composition He wanted. 8 Nay! But you deny the Recompense (reward for good deeds and punishment for evil deeds). 9 Yet over you there are watchers, 10 Honorable recorders, 11 aware of whatever you do! 12 Indeed the virtuous are in serenity. 13 The wicked certainly in Hell: 14 They will [enter to] burn therein on the Day of Recompense, 15 And they (Al-Fujjar) will not be absent therefrom (i.e. will not go out from the Hell). 16 And what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 17 Again would that you only knew how terrible it really is! 18 (It will be) the Day when no soul shall have power (to do) aught for another: For the command, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
