The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Prosperous are the believers 1 who are humble in their prayers; 2 who turn away from idle talk; 3 who give charity, 4 who guard their privates, 5 Except from their wives or (the captives and slaves) that their right hands possess, for then, they are free from blame; 6 Those who desire to go beyond such limits they commit transgression, 7 Those who faithfully observe their trusts and their covenants; 8 and who observe their prayers. 9 These are the heirs 10 that shall inherit Paradise; and in it they shall abide for ever. 11 We created the human from an essence of clay: 12 Then We placed him as a sperm-drop in a firm lodging. 13 Thereafter We created the sperm a clot; then We created the clot a lump of flesh; then We created the lump of flesh bones; then We clothed the bones with flesh: thereafter We brought him forth as another creature. Blest then be Allah, the Best of creators! 14 After that you shall surely die, 15 Then (again), surely, you will be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And We have created above you seven paths, and We are never unmindful of creation. 17 And We have sent down rain from the sky in a measured amount and settled it in the earth. And indeed, We are Able to take it away. 18 We have produced palm-groves and vineyards for you, in which there are abundant fruits for you; and you eat these, 19 And a tree that springeth forth from Mount Sinai that groweth oil and relish for the eaters. 20 And Verily! In the cattle there is indeed a lesson for you. We give you to drink (milk) of that which is in their bellies. And there are, in them, numerous (other) benefits for you, and of them you eat. 21 And you are carried on them and on the ship. 22
