۞ O mankind, you are those in need of Allah, while Allah is the Free of need, the Praiseworthy. 15 If He wills, He can do away with you and bring forth a new creation. 16 And that is for Allah not difficult. 17 And a burdened soul cannot bear the burden of another and if one weighed down by burden should cry for (another to carry) its burden, not aught of it shall be carried, even though he be near of kin. You warn only those who fear their Lord in secret and keep up prayer; and whoever purifies himself, he purifies himself only for (the good of) his own soul; and to Allah is the eventual coming. 18 Not equal are the blind and the seeing man, 19 nor are darkness and light. 20 nor the [cooling] shade and the scorching heat: 21 nor are the living and the dead. God causes whom He will to hear Him, but you cannot make those who are in their graves hear you. 22 You are purely a Herald of Warning. 23 Lo! We have sent thee with the Truth, a bearer of glad tidings and a warner; and there is not a nation but a warner hath passed among them. 24 And if they call you a liar, so did those before them indeed call (their apostles) liars; their apostles had come to them with clear arguments, and with scriptures, and with the illuminating book. 25 Then seized I those who disbelieved, and how intense was My abhorrence! 26
