▼ 55 The All Compassionate
Al-Rahman 3 of 3
Those who fear their Lord will have two gardens 46 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- 47 [There will be two gardens with] spreading branches. 48 Which of your Lord's favours will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 49 In them (both) will be two springs flowing (free) 50 Which of your Lord's favours will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 51 In both of them, there will be two kinds of every fruit. 52 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 53 reclining upon couches lined with brocade, the fruits of the gardens nigh to gather -- 54 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 55 In them maidens with averted glances, undeflowered by man or by jinn before them, -- 56 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 57 [When you are promised splendours] as though [of] rubies and [of] pearls 58 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 59 Is there any reward for good other than good? 60 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 61 And besides these two, there are two other Gardens (i.e. in Paradise). 62 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 63 Densely covered with foliage, appearing dark. 64 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 65 In the Gardens are two springs, overflowing with abundance. 66 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 67 In them (both) will be fruits, and date- palms and pomegranates. 68 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 69 In these [gardens] will be [all] things most excellent and beautiful. 70 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? -- 71 with big, black and white beautiful eyes, dwelling in tents. 72 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 73 There hath deflowered them neither man nor jinn. 74 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 75 Reclining on green cushions and beautiful fine carpets. 76 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 77 Blessed be the name of thy Lord, full of Majesty, Bounty and Honour. 78
