In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit), 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy many a nation of the earlier times? 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle, 25 For the living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 On that Day they will be speechless, 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 that Day of Distinction [between the true and the false, when they will be told]: "We have brought you together with those [sinners] of olden times; 38 Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
