The Ant (Al-Naml)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta. Sin. These are the verses of the Quran and of the illustrious Book 1 a guidance and a glad tiding to the believers 2 Who fulfil their devotional obligations, pay the zakat, and believe with certainty in the life to come. 3 As for those who do not believe in the Hereafter, We have made their deeds seem attractive to them so they stumble around in perplexity. 4 Such are they for whom a grievous Penalty is (waiting); and in the Hereafter theirs will be the greatest loss. 5 (Muhammad), you have certainly received the Quran from the All-wise and All-knowing One. 6 Moses said to his family, "I have seen some fire. I shall bring you some news about it or some fire so that you can warmyourselves". 7 But when Moses came to the fire, a call was sounded: "Blessed is He Who is in the fire and whatever is around it. Glory be to Allah, the Sustainer of all in the Universe. 8 Moses, behold, it is I, God, the All-mighty, the All-wise. 9 And cast thou down thy staff. Then when he saw it wriggling as though it were a serpent, he turned in flight and looked not back. O Musa! fear thou not; verily in My presence the sent ones fear not. 10 Excepting any who may have done wrong and thereafter changeth evil for good then verily I am Forgiving, Merciful. 11 And enter your hand into the opening of your bosom, it shall come forth white without evil; among nine signs to Firon and his people, surely they are a transgressing people. 12 Then when Our enlightening signs came to them, they said, “This is clear magic.” 13 They rejected the evidence because of their arrogance and injustice, although their souls knew it to be true. Think how terrible the end of the sinful ones was! 14
