Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By oath of those which carry away while dispersing. 1 And those [clouds] carrying a load [of water] 2 Then those (ships) that glide easily, 3 and execute the great task of apportioning (rainfall): 4 Lo! that wherewith ye are threatened is indeed true, 5 And verily Judgment and Justice must indeed come to pass. 6 By the heaven with its passages, 7 Truly ye are in a doctrine discordant, 8 From which only he turns who is turned away. 9 Cursed be the liars, 10 who are heedless in the immersion. 11 They ask, “When will be the Day of Judgement?” 12 (It is) the day on which they shall be tried at the fire. 13 "Taste you your trial (burning)! This is what you used to ask to be hastened!" 14 As to the Righteous, they will be in the midst of Gardens and Springs, 15 Accepting what their Lord has given them. Indeed, they were before that doers of good. 16 They used to sleep only a little during the night. 17 and would ask for forgiveness at dawn, 18 And the beggar and the destitute had a share in their wealth. 19 And in the earth there are signs for those who are sure, 20 And within yourselves. Can you not perceive? 21 And in the heaven lies your sustenance, and the promise you are given. 22 By the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is certainly the truth. It is as true as your ability to speak. 23
