Surely warners came to the people of Pharaoh. 41 They belied Our signs everyone thereof; whereof We laid hold of them with the grip of the Mighty, Powerful. 42 Are your disbelievers better than those, or have ye some immunity in the scriptures? 43 Or do they say, "We are a united group, and we are bound to prevail?" 44 Their multitude will be put to flight, and they will show their backs. 45 Nay; the Hour of Doom is their appointed time, and the Hour shall be more calamitous and bitter. 46 Truly those in sin are the ones straying in mind, and mad. 47 The Day they are dragged into the Fire on their faces [it will be said], "Taste the touch of Saqar." 48 BEHOLD, everything have We created in due measure and proportion; 49 It takes only a single command from Us (to bring the Day of Judgment) and that can be achieved within the twinkling of an eye. 50 And verily We have destroyed your fellows; but is there any that remembereth? 51 [They were truly guilty] because all [the evil] that they ever did had been [revealed to them as such] in the [ancient] books of [divine] wisdom; 52 And everything small and great is written down. 53 The pious ones will live in Paradise wherein streams flow, 54 Seated in an assembly of the Truth, in the presence of Allah, the Omnipotent King. 55
