Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
50 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah) before Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another. 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 excusing or warning, 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 As if they were tawny camels. 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 40

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
