The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Woe to every slanderer, defamer, 1 Who accumulated wealth and hoarded it, counting. 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal. 3 By no means! They will be thrown into hutamah. 4 And what could make thee conceive what that crushing torment will be? 5 A fire kindled by God, 6 Which will climb on to the hearts. 7 Indeed it will be shut over them. 8 In outstretched columns. 9
