Pilgrimage (Al-Hajj)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Mankind! fear your Lord; verily the quake of the Hour shall be a thing mighty. 1 On the day when ye behold it, every nursing mother will forget her nursling and every pregnant one will be delivered of her burden, and thou (Muhammad) wilt see mankind as drunken, yet they will not be drunken, but the Doom of Allah will be strong (upon them). 2 And among men there is he who disputes about Allah without knowledge and follows every rebellious Shaitan; 3 Against him it is written down that whoever takes him for a friend, he shall lead him astray and conduct him to the chastisement of the burning fire. 4 O people! If you are in doubt about the Resurrection, remember that We first created you from dust, then from a sperm drop, then from clotted blood, then a lump of flesh, both shaped and unshaped, so that We might manifest to you [Our power]. We cause what We will to stay in the womb for an appointed time, then We bring you forth as infants and then We cause you to grow and reach full growth. Then, some of you will pass away early in life, while some of you will reach extreme old age in which they will know nothing of what they once knew. You see the earth, dead and barren, but no sooner do We send down rain upon it than it begins to stir and swell, and produce every kind of luxuriant vegetation: 5 That, because Allah! He is The Truth, and He quickeneth the dead, and verily He is over everything Potent. 6 And verily the Hour will come: there can be no doubt about it, or about (the fact) that Allah will raise up all who are in the graves. 7 And there is one who argues concerning Allah without having knowledge nor any proof nor a clear text. 8 Turning their backs that they may lead away from the path of God. For such there is disgrace in the world, and on the Day of Judgement We shall make them taste the torment of burning. 9 (They will be told), "This is the result of what your hands have wrought. God is certainly not unjust to His servants." 10
