So We saved the children of Israel from degrading suffering 30 and from the Pharaoh. He was the chief of the transgressors. 31 and We chose them, out of a knowledge above the nations (of their time). 32 And granted them Signs in which there was a manifest trial 33 Yet these say: 34 "There is no dying for us but once; and we shall not be raised again. 35 Bring then our fathers if ye say so. 36 Are they better, or the people of Tubba? And those who were before them? We destroyed them; they were indeed criminals. 37 We created not the heavens, the earth, and all between them, merely in (idle) sport: 38 We have created them for a genuine purpose, but most people do not know. 39 Indeed the Day of Decision is the appointment for all of them. 40 the day a master shall avail nothing a client, and they shall not be helped, 41 except for those to whom God grants mercy. He is Majestic and All-merciful. 42
