Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 when heaven shall be split 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 Till a limit known? 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 For the living and the dead, 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 That will be the Day on which they will not (be able to) utter a word, 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 40
