The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By oath of the heaven, and by oath of the nightly arriver. 1 And what shall teach thee what is the night-star? 2 The very brightly shining star! 3 No soul is there but hath over it a watcher. 4 So let man see from what he is created! 5 He was created of a gushing fluid, 6 issuing from between the loins [of man] and the pelvic arch [of woman]. 7 Surely He (the Creator) has the power to bring him back (to life). 8 On a Day whereon secrets shall be out. 9 Then will he have no might nor any helper. 10 By the sky which returns [rain] 11 and the earth, bursting forth with plants! 12 It is surely a decisive utterance; 13 And it is not a thing for amusement. 14 Lo! they plot a plot (against thee, O Muhammad) 15 And I secretly plan. 16 so bear with those who deny the truth, and let them be for a little while. 17
Almighty Allah's Truth.
