Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

The emulous desire of abundance engrosseth you, 1 until you come to the graves. 2 But you will come to know soon; -- 3 And once again: Nay, in time you will come to understand! 4 No indeed; did you know with the knowledge of certainty, 5 Indeed you will see hell. 6 Again, ye shall see it with certainty of sight! 7 and on that Day you will most surely be called to account for [what you did with] the boon of life! 8

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
